How do you store your card stock?

I continually get frustrated with storing cardstock in a small space. What do you do with be scraps? How should you organize it? Well, I finally think I've come to a solution that fits for me great! I've had these cardstock holders from SU for awhile now and love them! But I would get so annoyed when I would put the scraps in them and they would end up mixing in with all of the different colors after I'd pull out and put I'm cardstock.  I don't love the LOOK of this, but the functionality is GREAT! I put one color in a gallon zip lock baggie. Then I put any scraps with it in the front.  On the outside, I write the name of the cardstock. It has been working out so good for me! I love it! That way, when I just need a little scrap of one color, I know that I can pull out the whole zip lock baggie and a piece will be waiting for me in the front :)

World Treasures

Here is my first attempt at coloring the peacock from world treasures. Who doesn't love coloring?? It's so relaxing! I think this was an ok first shot. Maybe I'll make a baby card out of it? I don't know! We will have to wait and see!

Many cards in no time

It's been pretty hard trying to get anything  done with the little one in the house. I always want to play with her or just give her cuddles. But I needed to make some thank yous for her baptism, so I needed something cute, quick, and easy. Here is what I came up with.

Faux Mother of Pearl

This technique is awesome! My sister was just showing me how to do it. First, you start with some glossy white card stock.  Sponge on shimmer paint with crumpled up saran wrap.  Let dry for 5 minutes.  Next, sponge it with 2 different colors to kind of give it an antique look.  I used Sahara sands and blushing bride I believe.  Then wipe off extra ink with paper towel. And thats it folks! Now you can stamp your image with staz on and color it in with markers. Pretty easy! I'm sure the picture just doesn't do it justice.  It is so shiny, shimmery, and beautiful! (I have some extra trips and tricks on this, if you want to know, email me)

Tile Coaster

Since my last post was the corkboard coaster, I decided to show you that you can make another kind of coaster out of plain old floor tiles. These are SO easy to make! Just rinse the tiles off, let dry, stamp, and bake at 350 for about 30 minutes! So easy, right? These are retired stamp sets :( but I really love this flower. These would be great for favors!

Corkboard Coaster

So these aren't anything too new but I still think they are exciting! I have been dying to make them for so long and everytime I put an order in, I forgot to order the supplies to make them! So I finally got around to it and am so happy I did! I wanted to put a picture in them, but you can put whatever you want. I think it would be super cute with white card stock in the middle and names of the bride and groom. Then you can give two of them as favors at a wedding or shower. I love homemade gifts!

Shaving Cream Card

Here's what I came up with!

Shaving Cream Marble

Here is a cool technique that my fellow demonstrator and sister showed me today! It is soooo cool! I don't know if you can truly see the amazing details, but it looks awesome! We put a large amount of plain old shaving cream on a plate and smoothed it out with a spoon.  Then add any ink to the shaving cream. Stir it around with the spoon and make some nice swoops.  Then take whiaper white card stock, and lay it directly into the shaving cream and push down to make sure that all of the whisper white cardstock is covered. Beware! You will get messy ;) now pull up the cardstock, and wipe off all of the shaving cream. Voila!

Black and white

I posted my gated framelits card on Splitcoast and got asked to participate in a black and white challenge found here: http://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=4829893262600977232#editor/src=dashboard. I love the crafting community :) such fun people. If you have any black and white cards to show off, post them! They are giving away prizes! And even if you don't win, it's still fun sharing creativity.

Gated Framelits

Oh. My. Gosh. I love this super creative card! I cased this from a fellow demonstrator, Frenchie.  This is the Road to Happiness stamp set.  I love this card as my first attempt at the gated framelits. But now that I know how to do it, I'm going to spice it up a bit more for the swap that I'm participating in. Let me know what you think!

Holiday Mini

I just got a chance to see the sneak peek of the new holiday mini!!!! Being a demonstrator has it benefits! I cannot believe the amazing new products they have! I'm still drooling over the new idea book and catalog. Now I have to add more products to my wish list :) I can't wait to get to show the new holiday mini to everyone!

Road to Happiness

I am in love with this new stamp set from the 2012-2013 catalog. It's called Road to Happiness. There are so many different things you can do with this set! I am currently participating in a swap and I'm planning on using this stamp set......I still haven't figured out just exactly what I want to do with it.
